Major players are also into contract manufacturing of various food products including beverages, confectionery, fruits, and vegetables.

Major manufacturers are taking advantage of the increasing demand for on the go breakfast products. They are making contracts with companies that will supply the raw materials at subsidized prices and later on sell them at retail at a margin higher than what the manufacturers originally wanted to get. This is benefiting both the manufacturer and the distributor by making it easier to maintain a fixed cost of production and still make a profit.
