Bulletproof glass market is witnessing strong growth in North America region

Growth in the automotive industry around the globe and growing demand for a luxury vehicle is primarily augmenting the growth of the bulletproof glass market. According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, around 98.1 million motor vehicles were produced around the world in 2018 and more than 80 million passenger cars were produced around the world in 2017. Hence rising production of automobiles around the world is projected to propel the market growth of bullet-proof security glass. Moreover, expanding the financial sector around the globe is another key factor expected to accelerate the growth of the bulletproof glass market. This sector is a highly prone area for terror attacks and robbery and thus bulletproof glass is necessary for protection. According to the International Trade Administration, by the end of 2018, the U.S. banking system had $17.9 trillion in assets and a net income of $236.8 billion.

Asahi Glass Co., Ltd, China Specialty Glass AG, Nippon Sheet Glass Co. Ltd., Saint-Gobain S.A., China Glass Holdings Ltd., PPG Industries, Inc., Taiwan Glass Ind. Corp., Apogee Enterprises, Inc., Şişecam, and Guardian Industries Corp are major key players in the market
North America is expected to dominate the global bulletproof glass market and this is accredited to the growing installation of bulletproof glass by a big organization to improve the safety of the worker in the region. For instance, in December 2018, Pacific Gas & Electric Co. has installed bullet-proof glass at its customer service center in Redding for enhancing the safety of the customers and employees.
In August 2018, Mercedes-Benz launched the 2018 INKAS Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is a stunning bullet-proof armored SUV limousine at a price of one million euros
Bulletproof glass, bulletproof armor, bulletproof glass, bullet-resistant fiberglass, or bulletproof steel is an ultra-violet resistant, ultra-plastic material that is especially strong and optically clear. Although the material is extremely effective in deterring penetration of objects and minimizing damage from injuries, it isn't impermeable on its own. This is where the special properties of this type of glass come into play.
Due to its properties, bulletproof glass has three layers. The outermost layer is made of plastic polymers with various levels of toughness, often up to 300% more durable than normal plastic polymers. The middle layer is composed of various plastics, including high-tempered polyvinyl chloride (HTP), epoxy resin, and other resins. Finally, the innermost layer is composed primarily of glass fibers, which are infused with a specially designed oxidizing agent to create the desired optical properties.
