Asia Pacific is expected to lead the global dimethylolbutanoic acid market owing to high demand for polyurethane dispersion from construction industry

dimethylolbutanoic acid market

Increasing production of polyurethane dispersion is significantly propelling the growth of the dimethylolpropionic acid market. For instance, in January 2020, BASF announced a single-digit million-euro investment in the capacity expansion of water-based polyurethane dispersions at its Castellbisbal site in Spain. The expansion will allow BASF to increase its production capacity by 30 percent. Polyurethane dispersion is gaining high demand for leather, fiberglass, furniture, and adhesives &sealants applications are again projected to foster the growth of the market. The dimethylolpropionic acid market is also projected to gain growth on the account of growing demand for the electro-deposition coatings metal industry. Also, the growing demand for powder coating from the automotive industry will favor the growth of the market.

In February 2021, Covestro has announced its plan to open a new production facility for polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) at the Covestro Integrated Site in Shanghai, China (CISS) to address the rising demand for environmentally compatible coatings and adhesives in the Asia-Pacific region

In March 2019, Specialty chemicals company LANXESS has showcased its most extensive product portfolio to date for the manufacturing of high-quality coatings at the European Coatings Show

The Asia Pacific is expected to lead the global dimethylolpropionic acid market and this is accredited to the growing demand for the polyurethane from the construction industry. The construction industry in the region is witnessing a strong growth due to rapid urbanization and industrialization. According to the India Brand Equity Foundation, large investments in infrastructure have provided momentum to the overall PE (Private Equity)/VC (Venture Capital) investment in India, recording an all-time high investment of US$ 14.5 billion in 2019. In Union Budget 2020-21, the Government has announced Rs. 91.82 billion (US$ 13.14 billion) for road transport and highways.

Dimethylolpropionic Acid or DMLA for short is a product that many cosmetic companies claim can help to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. It is most effective when used at the first sign of wrinkles or stretch marks such as when the skin has just been stretched after a big gain or weight loss. It is a commonly used ingredient in creams, lotions, and ointments because of its known effectiveness at reducing or reversing the signs of aging. I've been testing many different anti-aging creams and I must say that Dimethylolpropionic Acid beats them all. Dimethylolproponic acid is a fatty chemical substance that has the full IUPAC title of 2, 2- bis-propionic acid and is actually an organic ester with two hydroxyl groups and one carboxylic group.
